As a new comer to SMOCT, I was excited to be joining a group dedicated to Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon OCs that held a yearly tournament. This was wonderful to me. I felt at home, though I was around people I had never met, or I've seen once or twice around dA. Though I wasn't able to make it into the tournament, I was still excited that I was still part of SMOCT 3. When everything negative happened, I stood strong and patient with the hope in my heart that it would be back. Though, with all these exciting and sad moments, I haven't had a favorite. In all honesty, I'm hoping for SMOCT to continue so I can have many good and bad moments, and finally make one my favorite, but until then, I wish to share with you my favorite Sailor Moon moment.
Sailor Moon has taught me to believe in myself, in my friends, in my family, in love, to be courageous, to be true to myself, and above that I'm special, and I can make a difference in the world, even if I'm not a Sailor Senshi. Though when bad things happen, we stand tall, and fight our way though it. For me, every episode and movie of Sailor Moon is my favorite, but two scenes stick out to me the most.
In Sailor Moon R, episode 59 (Japanese version) Usagi is captured by the Doom Tree, and Mamoru tries to save her, but gets captured as well. They still fight to be together only to be separated once again by Erin and An. As the episode goes on, Sailor Moon uses her body to protect Mamoru. Erin asks why she's doing that, shocked with her actions. When Sailor Moon replies, she says "If it's for the person I love, I'll risk anything, even my life!" This shocks Erin even more, but An laughs and calls her a fool, saying the most important thing is ones life. This continues on, Sailor Moon taking another hit before Mamoru jumped in the way, protecting the one he loved, though he hadn't fully regained his memories. To me, this shows that no matter if you're fighting with a loved one, or in a very happy and good place with a loved one, you never stop loving one another and though you may be fighting, or not, but if you're truly in love, you'll risk your life for one another.
My other favorite moment is in the Sailor Moon R movie, Promise of the Rose. It's at the very end of the movie, after Fiore is destroyed by the Silver Crystal's powers. She selflessly changes into her princess form to protect those who are dear to her from harm, and to make sure they arrived back to Earth safely. After all the senshi, minus Usagi, relive one of their favorite memories with her, they help power up the Silver Crystal. They break through the atmosphere, successfully, but in the process the Silver Crystal is destroyed and Usgai dead. Though she is brought back to life with the last of Fiore's life energy, Usagi, once again, is willing to give up her life to make sure her loved ones are safe.
Usagi brings hope, love, and kindness into the world. She has been one of my role models since I was young, and she'll never be replaced. She, along with all the other Sailor Senshi, are why Sailor Moon is my favorite anime/show, and will never be replaced.
Yup. First time posting a Literature item on dA. I fell like a retard for how easy it was. XD Anyway, yay! This is my entry for the SMOCT contest thingy going on. I know it's close to the deadline, but June was a very, very, VERY busy month for me. e.e;
